The dust bin is expected to last for around 30 loads or a month and half. You'll need to replace the filter on a regular basis (as suggested by iRobot). Our experience suggests that the iRobot S9+ doesn't get extremely loud when it's in use, so it's a good choice for those who live with pets or children.
